What's in the Mac app

Still on the website
Billing, API keys, community listings, and connecting Gmail or Calendar stay in the browser for now. The Mac app now includes Studio (files, training, photos, and video) and local models. Sign in on the web with the same account — nothing to migrate.
Need Ubuntu rather than a generic Linux build? The first Linux installer will be a .deb for Debian and Ubuntu.
Questions
Do I need the desktop app?+
No. Everything works in the browser with the same account. The app is for a dedicated window, local models on your computer, and a richer Studio for files, photos, video, and training.
Is it the same as the website?+
Same assistants and the same login. The Mac app adds local model downloads, on-computer chat, and a Studio for teaching, files, photos, and video. Billing, API keys, marketplace, and Gmail or Calendar connections stay on the website for now.
When will Windows and Linux be ready?+
Mac ships first. Windows and Ubuntu (.deb) are next. This page will light up a real download button for each platform as soon as a signed installer is published — we will not put a fake link here.
macOS says the app can't be opened. What do I do?+
That usually means Gatekeeper has not seen a notarized build yet. Prefer the signed download from this page. If you sideload a build, Control-click the app and choose Open, then confirm. We will notarize production Mac builds before they go live here.
